Do you want to hunt Tsessebe?

The Tsessebe antelope are larger and somewhat different in appearance than the other two wild species in the same line (Blesbok and Bontebok). Both sexes carry horns, and have a dark brown colour.

The Tsessebe is known for being the fastest of all African antelopes, with a top speed of 70 km/h. They are very territorial, and can be seen standing on termite nests with the head held high as a threat to its rivals. The Tsessebe usually live in large flocks.

Hunting Tsessebe

Due to its habitat on the open plains, a flat-shooting riffle calibre is recommended. A .270 Win with a quality projectile should be considered minimum. More recommended is a 7mm.

Side By Side Safaris has a large nearby hunting concession with a good population of Tsessebe, with a trophy quality in the absolute top class.
